Springald (light ballista)Medium object A springald, or skein-bow, is an artillery piece with a torsion device similar to a ballista. It has a box frame, with arms are designed to swing inwards rather than outwards. It has a more compact construction compared to the ballista, makes it more suitable for use inside, such as the tighter confines of a tower. It is not as powerful as its larger cousin, and so finds its role as an anti-personnel weapon. It takes one action to load the springald, one action to aim it, and one action to fire it. Springald Bolt: Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 100/400 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d10) piercing damage. |
