Mirrorwalk. The sorrow-spider can enter or exit the Ethereal Plane via mirror.

Spider Climb. The sorrow-spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the sorrow-spider knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.

Web Walker. The sorrow-spider ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) piercing damage plus 7 (2d4 + 2) poison damage.

Sorrow-spiders appear as greenish-brown tarantula-like arachnids the size of a cat or small dog. They are mainly found in the underdark, where they infest the dark(er) corners of larger settlements; their presence is mostly made known due to their drive to obtain the eyes of other creatures. Eyes of intelligent creatures are sought after, eyes which have read the heavenly language of Correspondence even more so. They use these eyes as egg-sacs to hatch more spiders, although they do their best to keep this from becoming public knowledge.
Despite their fairly mundane appearance, sorrow-spiders don’t originate on the material plane; it isn’t clear where or when they first appeared, but almost every plane which can support life and has a steady supply of eyeballs has since become infested with them. Because of this ancient and far-reaching society, they tend to have access to knowledge that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to find. Although infamous for stealing the eyes of sleeping humanoids, many sorrow-spiders are perfectly willing to trade knowledge or other favors for them instead.
