On a success, nothing happens and they are immune to the Sculpergeist's Sculpt ability for 24 hours. On a failure, the door to the Sculptergeist's domain will locked shut. After 1d4 minutes, the door will reopen and a statue of the humanoid made of of a random carving material (ex. wood, limestone, marble). The Sculptergeist will be unable to reuse the ability for another 1d4 hours.

A group of adventurers a leaving a strange room filled with sculpter's tools. But right as they are leaving, the door closes, trapping one of their own inside. After a few minutes of trying to pry open the door, the door opens on its own. Inside they find they friend, or what used to be their friend. What they find is a marble statue, depicting their friend, face distorted with a frozen look of terror on her face.

A Sculpergeist is the remaining essence of and artist, or someone who spent their life preserving life. Sculptergeists will commonly inhabit small homes or rooms with only one door. When there is only one humanoid in their domain, they will shut the door. The Scupltergeist, through unknown means, transforms the humanoid into a sculpture made of a random carving material. Their features are distorted and their face is frozen in eternal agony. Sometimes, the more artistic and lively Sculptergeists will make edits to the statues, such as adding or removing features, changing the sculpture's dimensions or resulting the sculpture to appear as the other gender. The Sculptures will only regain movement when the Sculptergeist perishes. Any edits that the Sculptergeist made to the sculptures remain though. Such edits may only be removed with a Remove Curse Spell.

gollark: Bad type errors sometimes though.
gollark: Also, the libraries are nice.
gollark: Well, yes, it is "good" compared to most mainstream languages.
gollark: It's not Haskell (which I consider sort of a good thing), but I like it because it has a decent type system, really good tooling, decent speed/efficiency, and it's actually not horrible for me to program in it. Except sometimes the borrow checker is annoying.
