Correspondence Casting. When creature is damaged by a spell the scrive-spinster casts, it must make a Wisdom saving throw, the DC of which is 10 + the damage taken. On a failed save, it becomes frightened until the end of its next turn.

Immutable Form. The scrive-spinster is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Innate Spellcasting. The scrive-spinster's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 17). The scrive-spinster can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: comprehend languages, detect magic, identify, magic missile, thunderwave
3/day each: counterspell, glyph of warding, legend lore, shatter
1/day each: scrying, teleportation circle

Limited Magic Immunity. The scrive-spinster can't be affected or detected by spells of 3rd level or lower unless it wishes to be. It has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.

ACTIONS

Multiatack. The scrive-spinster makes two claw attacks.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (4d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Once, it is said, there was a great library where the suns kept records of their laws. But disaster struck, and the library was destroyed and strewn across the astral plane. Now its librarians seek its ruins and texts.
Tall as giants, wrought of bronzewood and clad in tatters of paper, the scrive-spinsters once managed the greatest library of heaven. Since its destruction they are bereft, and keep to forgotten places unless roused by the scent of paper and ink. They drift like manta rays through the void. The spinsters sew sheaves of parchment into their coats and wigs. Yellowed with age, blotched with mildew, spidered with writing, their gowns are stitched from the pages they managed to salvage.
They harbor a particular hatred for devils.

gollark: PotatOS.
gollark: Wait, the opus shop can't pull from Milo? Weird.
gollark: I mean a general universalish interface wyvern and whatnot can implement.
gollark: <@290217153293189120> Milo has a shop thing already.
gollark: Also, we could use a standard networked API for querying/retrieving from centralized storage systems.
