Sableye (5e Race)

Sableye

Physical Description

A Sableye cautiously holding a delicious gemstone Source

Barely reaching 2 feet tall, Sableye are tiny creatures that spend most, if not all, of their lives in caves searching for gems and rocks to eat. They typically have dark purple flesh with gemstones protruding from the back and front of it's torso with their eyes being two large pale blue gems, characteristics thought to be the result of it's diet. Their legs are short and their arms end in three fingers with spikes protruding from the elbow. On the sides of it's head are fin-like protrusions that resemble elf ears. Lastly, it's mouth is full of razor-sharp teeth.

Other specimens have been known to have gold colored skin with light yellow eye gems.

History

Sableye are said to have originated from the deep cave systems in the tropical island of Hoenn, but they can be found in cave systems almost everywhere and especially in ones where gems can be found. If they can't find gems to eat, they will sometimes hunt Carbink for food.

Society

Sableye usually keep to themselves, and don't have much of a society to speak of. They are often seen as evil monsters who steal people's souls if they gaze into their twinkling, gemstone eyes. Because of this, they are feared and sometimes hated. As a result, they tend to stay away from people, but some will attempt to pull pranks merely for attention.

Sableye Names

Sableye names are more often than not Goblin, though some, mostly depending on the region, will have Common names.
