Ribbon Maiden (3.5e Creature)

Cackling laughter followed by the sound of fluttering cloth travels down the corridor. As it gets louder the top half of a female human figure comes into view, tightly tied up in blood red ribbons, so tight they bite into her hard grainy looking flesh rendering her arms and body immovable. With no legs just ribbons hanging below her floating torso the maiden moves towards her prey, whilst her only visible blank eye stares an evil paralyzing gaze.

A ribbon maiden with her soul ribbons tied up around her.

Ribbon Maidens often lurk in confined areas and rely on their soul ribbons for protection. Having no form of natural attack means that they have to rely purely on their gaze and kiss of death attacks to get rid of their prey, while relying on their thick stone like skin for protection against incoming attacks.

Combat

Ribbon maidens are very rarely seen without their ribbons unless they are near death or dieing. They take pride in their collection and will only release them if they fear they are in danger, however even when they release them their body remains useless and limp.

Frosted Eye (Su): A Ribbon Maiden can crush an opponents will just by looking into their eyes. This effect is similar to a gaze attack except that the ribbon maiden must use a standard action, and those merely looking at it are not affected. Anyone the ribbon maiden targets must pass a Will save (DC17) or take 2d4 points of wisdom damage.

Kiss of Death (Su): The kiss of death is a death effect delivered with the soul maidens mouth pressed against the victim’s face. If the ribbon maiden makes a successful touch attack (+10 melee), the opponent must attempt a Fortitude saving throw (DC17). Success leaves the opponent stunned for 1 round, failure stops the opponent’s blood flow and organs instantly killing them. This ability is usable at will.

Soul Steal (Su): Any humanoid slain by a ribbon maidens kiss of death becomes a soul ribbon in 1d4 rounds. Such soul ribbons are under the command of the ribbon maiden that created them and remain enslaved until its death. They do not possess any of the abilities they had in life, though they do possess general knowledge of the slain creature. This knowledge is used for evil purposes, if possible.

Ribbon Connection (Ex): A ribbon maiden has a mental link with all of her soul ribbons, meaning that while she is alive neither her or her ribbons can be flanked or caught flat footed. For every ribbon the Maiden is in control of she gains a +1 deflection bonus to her AC (maximum +10)

Maiden of Ribbons (Ex): A ribbon maiden has complete control over her ribbons and can create ribbons out of any creature that can be killed by her kiss of death attack even those that could not turn into soul ribbons normally. This includes golems and other forms of constructs, that can awaken or have an intelligence modifier, aberrations, intelligent undead, dragons, elementals, fey, shapechangers and plants with an intelligence score.

Weave of the Maiden (Ex): If the Maiden is around emotions of hate or fear the DC for her special attacks go up by 1.
