    Spellcasting

    Cantrips

At 1st level, you know two cantrips of your choice from the Reality Shifter spell list. You learn additional cantrips of your choice at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips column of the Reality Shifter table.

    Spell slots

The Reality Shifter table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these sorcerer spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

Spells Known of 1st level and higher

You know two 1st level spells of your choice from the RealityShifter spell list. The Spells Known column of the Reality Shifter table shows when you learn more Reality Shifter spells of your choice. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 3rd level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level. Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the reality shifter spells you know and replace it with another spell from the reality shifter spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

    Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your reality shifter spells, since your magical energy comes from devotion to your patron and your world-changing goals. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a reality shifter spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

    Protector

At the first level, your patron teaches you how to conjure beasts that will protect you in this dangerous world. As a bonus action on your turn, you can summon a beast with CR 1/8 (the specific beast is up to the DM), that serves you as a protector. You can interact with it as if it was created by the find familiar spell. In addition, you may use your action for mentally command the protector to perform the attack action.

Your protector vanishes if you fall unconscious, if you use this feature again, if you start to concentrate on a conjuration spell, or if you chose to disperse it as a bonus action. You can use this feature number of times equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum of 1), and regain the use after a short rest.

The CR of the protector increases as you level up, as shown in the "Protector CR" column in the RealityShifter table.

Starting the third level, you can sacrifice a spell slot while using this feature in order to call an additional number of protectors that is equal to half of the spell level burned, rounded down. For example, sacrificing a second level spell slot at the third level will cause two CR 1/4 protectors to appear, and sacrificing a fourth level spell slot at the 7th level will cause three CR 1 protectors to appear. When summoning multiple protectors, you can use your action to order them all to perform the attack action.

Starting the 5th level, you may order your protectors to perform the attack action using a bonus action only.

Starting the 11th level, you may telepathically communicate with your protectors, in a way that doesn't require action or bonus action.

Starting the 17th level, your protectors remain even if you fall unconscious. They automatically move towards you and continue to attack fiercely enemies that try to damage you.

    Specialization

At the second level, your patron teaches gives a specialization in another kind of magic. Choose between illusionist and necromancer, both detailed at the end of the class description. Your choice grants you features at the 2nd level and again at 6th, 14th, and 18th levels.
