Puppet Master
Puppet Masters are gifted individuals who can channel arcane energy through inanimate objects as well as another being, rather than through themselves. Most are performers that put on shows for nobles and kings to entertain and make a living. As for others, they use their puppets to silently take out targets for assassinations without placing themselves in direct danger.
The Puppet Master sits silently anticipating an opening to attack as a troupe of opposing soldiers are slaughtered in an overwhelming barrage of needles, raining down from the trees overhead.
Creating a Puppet Master
- Quick Build
You can make a Puppet Master quickly by following these suggestions. First, Dexterity should be your highest ability score, followed by Charisma. Second, choose the Entertainer background.
Class Features
As a Puppet Master you gain the following class features.
- Hit Points
Hit Dice: 1d8 per Puppet Master level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 1d8 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + Constitution modifier per Puppet Master level after 1st
- Proficiencies
Armor: Light Armor
Weapons: Simple Weapons
Tools: Tinker Tools
Saving Throws: Dexterity and Charisma
Skills: Sleight of hand, and your choice of two from: Performance, Acrobatics, Persuasion, Deception, Stealth, or Intimidation.
- Equipment
You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:
- Leather Armor
- (a) 2 Dagger or (b) sickle
- (a) Scholar pack or (b) Entertainer Pack
- Tinker Tools
- If you are using starting wealth, you have 4d4x10 in funds.

Class Features
Magical voice
You have a beautiful voice that can recreate the sound of anything like waterfalling and birds chirps it also can even create new sounds but to replicate one you must hear it first
Magi Strings
Threads of magical force used for controlling your puppets and other creatures. A set of strings comprises of five threads, attached from each of your fingers on one hand to the limbs and head of a target puppet or creature. You must have an empty hand to use one set of strings: thus if you have two empty hands you can control two sets of strings. Strings are intangible and invisible.
At 1st level, the maximum length of your strings is 15 feet times intelligence modifier. If intelligence modifier is 0 or negative max string length is 15 feet. You lose control of the subject of the strings if you are separated from it by a distance longer than the length of the strings. You can dismiss one or both sets of strings on your turn: this does not require an action. The strings also disappear if you fall unconscious.
Center Stage
Your stories and performances have captivated even the most disinterested of kings and nobles
You now throw advantage on performance and deception when trying to catch and keep the attention of creatures through the use of voices and sounds But to mimic voices and sounds you have to have heard them for at least a minute.
Ability Score Increase
When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
Extra Attack
Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Puppet creation
You can create small puppets made of yarn solely for distractions,perfomances and assassinations and then put these puppets into the Storage which is a magical closet meant for the puppets
Pure Magi string
once at level 7 a player can solidify their magic string into a substance that feels like yarn and is about as thick as a whip and it is able to be manipulated by the player (it does 1d4 slashing when used as a weapon)
The Study Of puppet creation
This allows players who choose this subclass to create puppets for a specific reason
- Puppet creator
At level 9 When you create a puppet it will solely obey you and will become immune to the charmed effect or anything similar
- Advanced puppet creation
This allows a player at level 10 to create weapon-like puppets weapon-weilding puppets creature-like puppets and Puppets with human like emotions characteristics and needs
- Secondary body
This allows the user at level 20 to create a puppet that can support their soul but the player has to take 3 long rests to create the puppet, a short rest after every battle with the puppet body to restitch yourself and a wis check after every long rest (dont remind them DMs) to check for loose stitching (roll a d4 if its a 1 roll a d20 then for every loose stitch (1-20) they take plus halve of they damage ×1-20 until they are fixed)
Study of the string
The study of the string allows players to do almost anything with string
- structure creation
This allows players to create structures out of pure magical string only last 2 hours but a level 10 1 Long rest and at 20 1 week at most
- Absolute string manipulation
This allows the user at level 10 to be able to manipulate the properties of the string in any shape form or fashion
- The lady of our fate
At level 20 this allows the user to see the life string of something and make twist and turn which can create minor manipulations to the victim (who must be in sight cannot do damage to victim)
Master of Stage magic
- Comedy skills
The plauer tells a joke and the enemy must roll charisma save and if it is too low they just out in laughter (breaks concentration) (if either wis or int is below 4 it does nothing)
- the smoke Appearance
A player can use a reskinned misty step where it is actually smoke
- Magic tricks
This allows the user to do tricks like sawing an actual body in halve and have Nothing happen (the secret is this ability means you can attack and the damage will show but heal when the user wills it amd it wont do damage to the victim(can only be used on stageor during a performance/distraction))
