Psychic (3.5e Template)

Psychic

3e Summary::Creatures born with the spark of psionic power deep within their minds.

Sometimes races turn out a little... different from their forebears. Usually indicated by a slightly larger head, these creatures are born with an innate gift towards psionics, one which has the potential to blossom and grow. However, many psychic creatures never learn of their gift, never developing their psionics powers at all, and let their gift go to waste.

The brain of a psychic creature is a little bigger than that of a normal creature of its type, and tastes delicious to creatures who enjoy such meals. Their brains are considered delicacies among creatures who eat brains such as illithids. However, the larger brain requires more time to grow, leaving such creatures a little less skillful in the more subtle arts than their counterparts.

Special Qualities

Naturally Psionic: Psychic creatures gain 2 bonus power points at 1st level. This benefit does not grant them the ability to manifest powers unless they gain that ability through another source, such as levels in a psionic class. They also have an intuitive knowledge of psionics, allowing them to make Knowledge (Psionics) skill checks untrained, and said skill is always considered a class skill for them.

Long development: Taking longer to fully develop, Psychic creatures start with 4 less skill points at first level, to a minimum of 0 skill points.

Abilities

As base creature.

+0.
