Prismatic Cloud (3.5e Spell)
A prismatic cloud spell creates a borealis of multi-hued light that produces a variety of effects, none of which are healthy for creatures unfortunate enough to be trapped within it. Creatures within the cloud with 8 HD or less are automatically blinded until they leave the cloud. Creatures that take penalties in bright light also take them while in the area of this magical light. On your turn each round, any creature in the area of the cloud is affected by prismatic light as if subject to a prismatic spray spell.

The cloud moves away from you at a minimum rate of 10 feet per round. Figure out the cloud’s new spread each round based on its new point of origin, which is 10 feet farther away from where you were when you cast the spell. As a free action, you can make the cloud (actually its point of origin) move as much as 60 feet each round. Any portion of the cloud that would extend beyond your maximum range dissipates harmlessly, reducing the remainder’s spread thereafter. As with fog cloud, wind disperses this cloud, and the spell can’t be cast underwater.
Prismatic cloud has no effect in magical darkness. Though it will flow through it and around it as normal, no creatures in an area of magical darkness will suffer ill effects from this spell.
Material Components: 7 gemstones (one of each color in a prismatic spray), each worth 50 gp, or a single diamond worth 350 gp.
