Appearance

As its natural form, this phoenix has two heads and one foot having adamantine claws. The feathers are lit ablaze with such heat that the body seems to glow with golden radiance. Its pair of wings stretch far, giving light that shines through even the thickest of clouds and brightens even the darkest of shadows.

Because many followers are also humanoid, Ondory may take a humanoid form. In the humanoid form, he wears an armor of bright red, etched with letters of gold that mark the words of justice. He yields a greatsword that glows with the radiance of the sun, and on his back he has a pair of burning wings that, when folded, makes a cape of flame. His helm is usually in the shape of a head of a bird. His face is hidden within the helm, but his glaring eyes are burning with courage that drives his followers.

Dogma

Fear not death for the sake of ridding evil, for this courage will brighten the future of peace.

Clergy and Temples

Followers of Ondory are usually clerics or paladins. They like to set their temples so that people can come and go at ease. They sometimes travel far in their crusades against evil, so they usually have mounts and vehicles of various sorts, and memorize which paths are the fastest way to even the most remote part of the country. The temple is also a training ground for paladins, so it is never without the sounds of clashing swords. The temple may be located close to a blacksmith's shop or a market of weapons.

Realm

His realm, the Yolk of Glory, is roughly shaped like a sphere. It floats above the sky of Mercuria as what seems like a sun from the ground. The Yolk of Glory itself releases golden light, but those who land on it realizes that this sphere has its own civilization on it. Sacred beasts roam its surface, and buildings serve as a home for the brave warriors who have fought forces of evil. Some of them even continue to train so that when the time comes, they travel to other worlds as the hunter of evil, like their deity.

The Yolk has a huge lake filled with flowing flame, known as the Eye. It is known that from this lake Ondory emerges to hunt for evil, and dives when he comes to rest.

  • The Competition Domain and the Mysticism Domain is included in the Complete Divine. If that book is not accessible but still want to use Ondory for the campaign, replace them with Strength and Nobility.
