Mord Sith

She had been tortured to death countless times only to be brought back again and again. Once broken, she was forced to watch them do the same to her mother. After they had broken her mother, she watched them kill her for two days. Then they brought her father and for the first time, she had intentionally inflicted pain.

She would torture him first because it was commanded, then because he had allowed this to happen to her, then because she took joy in causing him pain. Finally, she would kill him because she simply wished him dead after the week of torture or more he had suffered by her own hand.

Both of her parents were dead now, and her compassion with them. Mercy was granted only by the weak. The only things that mattered now were obedience and pain. Mostly just pain.

Pain Threshold

Mord Sith are particularly resistant to pain, as they have endured more than most creatures will ever know. As long as she is at or below her pain threshold, a Mord Sith may inflict a little pain on herself to reflect it many times over at another.

When you would receive damage, you may cause yourself a point of pain in order to reduce the damage by your Constitution modifier.

After each long rest, you begin at 0 pain on your Pain Threshold meter. After each short rest, you may reduce your pain by your constitution modifier. Class features may cause further pain when used, as noted in their descriptions. If you would meet or exceed your pain threshold, you may use a bonus action to gain a level of exhaustion, lowering your pain by a number of points equal to half your Mord Sith level divided by the number of exhaustion levels you have, rounded down (minimum of 1). If you exceed your pain threshold, you fall unconscious.

When you score a critical hit, you reduce your pain by 1. If the critical hit is with your Agiel, reduce your pain by a number equal to your proficiency bonus.

Agiel

The Agiel is the weapon of the Mord Sith. A leather baton that looks almost harmless, this weapon causes severe pain to any who touch it, even the wielder.

A simple, light melee weapon with the finesse property, the Agiel deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage. On a hit, you may inflict a single point of pain on yourself in order to deal 1d10 bonus necrotic damage. A successful Constitution saving throw vs. the Agiel DC reduces this necrotic damage by half.

Your Agiel's necrotic damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).

Agiel DC = 8 + Proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier.

If a creature other than you holds your Agiel, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw vs. your Agiel DC each round or it spends a hit die, losing hit points equal to the total rolled. If a creature runs out of hit dice this way or has none to spend, they drop the Agiel and suffer it's necrotic damage with no save allowed.

Visage of Pain

When donning leather or studded leather armor, you may choose to add your Proficiency bonus instead of your Dexterity modifier to your AC until you remove your armor. If you do, your Pain Threshold is also increased by your Proficiency bonus until you remove your armor.

Torture Tools

When you make a Deception or Intimidation check accompanied by a hit with your Agiel, you may inflict a point of pain on yourself in order to add the weapon damage (not the necrotic damage) to your check. Additionally, any time you are using a finesse weapon, you may choose to deal weapon damage equal to or less than your Dexterity modifier (minimum of 1) instead of rolling for damage.

Ability Score Increase

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Turn Arcane

Beginning at 2nd level, you may stop or even turn magic by sheer force of will. If a creature within 60ft is casting a spell which targets you, you may use your reaction to make a Constitution saving throw vs the spell save DC. A success causes you a point of pain and you counter the spell.

Beginning at 7th level, you may counter any spell that includes you in it's area of effect as long as the caster is within 120ft. You must still roll and inflict pain on yourself to counter a spell.

Once you reach 14th level, a failure will still counter a spell, causing you pain equal to the spells level or the level of the spell slot spent to cast it, whichever is greater. On a success, you may counter the spell, causing yourself a point of pain, or you may reflect the spell back at the original caster as though you had cast the spell on them, causing you pain equal to the spells level minus your Proficiency modifier (minimum of 1). You may attempt to counter or reflected any spell as long as the caster, area of effect, or target(s) are within 180ft.

After reaching 17th level, you may attempt to counter or reflect any spell as long as it's caster, area of effect, or it's target(s) are within 240ft. You must still roll and inflict pain on yourself to counter or reflect a spell.

Magic Resistance

Beginning at 6th level, any time you are within melee range of an enemy creature who's attacks deal magical damage, your attacks also deal magical damage. If the creature has weapons, armor, or other implements that grant bonuses to attacks, damage or AC, they get -1 to each such bonus and your similar items gain the +1 bonus(es) that they lost. This feature may not increase an item's bonus above +3. The creatures items loose their bonus even when your items cannot gain it.

At 10th level, this reduction and subsequent bonus increases to -2/+2 and -3/+3 at 18th level.
