Mask of Dragon Scales (5e Equipment)

Breath Weapon. You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation.

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

This Mask is completle blank except for the dragon scales that is attached to it. The mask has two eyeholes and one hole for the mouth. The character that has the mask needs to have it on their face and every attack the character makes with the mask the character needs to breath through the mouth hole in order to use it as an attack. The mask allow its wearer to gain the Breath Weapon trait that the dragonborn has. When you use the mask, you can choose to unleash the breath weapon based on any dragon.

This mask is the only one of its kind and it belonged to an dragonborn that revolted against the dragons. He earned his and his brothers and sisters their freedom. But it cost him his life so that his brothers and sisters could get their freedom and the mask was lost forever......... until now.

When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.

After you use your breath weapon, you can't use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
