A maned wolf.

Slim and nimble loners, the maned wolf stalks the grass and scrublands of the world. Known to be opportunistic hunters, maned wolves stalk weaker prey and are unlikely to even toy with anything stronger than itself unless it knows it could win.

A maned wolf, despite having wolf in its name, is not technically a wolf, other than both being canine. Maned wolves typically hunt alone, and only live as a small family until the young reach maturity. When losing a battle, a maned wolf is more likely to run from a fight than continue fighting, and maned wolves are often used as scouting dogs by druids and rangers, as they are fast and light on their paws, and in turn are less likely to be caught.

gollark: Are you doing neural networks or something?
gollark: But those are *also* designed by extremely smart people with lots of data.
gollark: Yes, I know, algorithmic trading and whatnot. It's very cool.
gollark: That sort of ridiculously high return seems somewhat implausible. Admittedly I don't know much about financial markets or whatever, but in general I think if you could get stupidly high returns there would already be investing firms with lots of smart people and money doing it.
