Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Mage Hunter.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Mage Hunters are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with all types of armor (heavy, medium, and light)

Aura of AntiMagic (Ex): The power of a Mage Hunter’s Aura of AntiMagic (see the detect good spell) is equal to her Mage Hunter level.

Detect Magic (Sp): At will, a Mage Hunter can use Detect Magic, as the spell.

Spell Sight (Sp): At will, a Mage Hunter can use Spell Sight to see spells that help or hinder people that are cast on someone. at lvl 1 you can see lvl 0-2 spells, at lvl 2 you can see 0-5 at lvl 3 you can see 0-9.

Smite Magic (Su): Once per day, a Mage Hunter may attempt to smite magic with one normal melee attack. She adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) to her attack roll and deals 2 extra point of damage per Mage Hunter level, and stops their use of casting for rounds equal to he Mage /hunter level. If the Mage Hunter accidentally smites a creature that is not magic, the smite has no effect, but the ability is still used up for that day.

At 5th level, and at every five levels thereafter, the Mage Hunter may smite magic one additional time per day, as indicated on Table: The Mage Hunter, to a maximum of five times per day at 20th level.

Aura of Spell Resistance (Su): At 2nd level, a Mage Hunter gains a bonus equal to five points per Aura of Spell Resistance level on all Spell Resistance Checks, any allies within 10 feet of her also gain this aura.

Dispel Magic (Su): As per spell Dispel Magic.

Counter Spell (Su): A Mage Hunter can access some of her inner Null zone and resist magic she knows is targeting her. She can make an opposed spell caster check against a spell she knows is being cast on her or is aware that magic will target her. She must make a check of her Mage Hunter level + her Wis Modifier against the opponent's Caster level + Spell Level + his (Int for Wizards, Cha for Sorcerer, etc....).

Remove Enchantment (Sp): Enchantments seen through spell sight can be removed by concentrating for a round and passing a DC check.

Antimagic Field (Sp): As per spell Antimagic Field.

Associates: a Mage Hunter will never knowingly associate with unregistered Mage characters, nor will she continue an association with someone who consistently offends her moral code.

Mage Hunter's Mount

Ex-Mage Hunters

A Mage Hunter who Knowingly allows a mage togo un registered, or perform restricted magic, or who grossly violates the code of conduct loses all Mage Hunter spells and abilities. She regains her abilities and advancement potential if she atones for her violations (see the atonement spell description), as appropriate.

Like a member of any other class, a Mage Hunter may be a multiclass character, but multiclass Mage Hunters face a special restriction. A Mage Hunter who gains a level in any class other than Mage Hunter may never again raise her Mage Hunter level, though she retains all her Mage Hunter abilities.

gollark: I think a more practical thing might be to teach computer use, though.
gollark: ARM assembly will teach children that computers are evil and unforgiving.
gollark: I think we should start children off with either ARM assembly or Haskell.
gollark: Interesting perspective I guess, though I don't know how effective it it is at that.
gollark: I mean, it does to some extent, but it teaches it in odd ways which are kind of orthogonal to regular programs.
