Duration: | concentration, up to 1 minute |
You place a golf ball sized ball of fire in the air. This ball explodes when a creature moves within 10 feet of it, forcing all creatures within range to make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d6 fire damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. A creature has disadvantage on this save if the point of origin of the explosion is visually obstructed from it (e.g. around a corner).
If the spell ends or is dispelled before the ball detonates, it harmlessly vanishes instead.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of level 4 or higher the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot above 3rd.
