Keen Sight and Smell. The lightning bird has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight or smell.

Drain Blood. The lightning bird makes one beak attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the lightning bird regains hit points equal to the damage dealt by the beak attack.

Innate Spellcasting. The lightning bird's spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13). The lightning bird can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

1/day each: call lightning, gust of wind

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The lightning bird makes two attacks: one with its beak and one with its talons.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing damage.

Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) slashing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (DC 12). Until this grapple ends, the lightning bird can't use its talons on another target.

A lightning bird is a large black and white hawk-like bird the size of a person, which is said to summon thunder and lightning with its wings and talons. They are vampiric creatures associated with witchcraft, often as the servant or familiar of a witch or witch doctor, which attacks the witch's enemies. They have an insatiable appetite for the blood of sentient creatures, as they find the blood of animals to be somewhat distasteful, though they can survive by drinking only animal blood.

gollark: You can't just make an antenna bigger and expect it to work better, since that affects the frequencies of radio waves/microwaves it works best with.
gollark: Increasing the power to a radio makes it easier to receive, which can create all kinds of problems, so there are *regulations* about this.
gollark: Clearly not.
gollark: <@!202992030685724675> So it's been a while; how's your plan to increase CC popularity gone?
gollark: It does ask if you want to authorize the desktop client which generated the QR code. This is overblown.
