Design Note: This weapon is intended to replace the lance for campaigns that have Large player-characters.

You have disadvantage when you use a lance to attack a target within 5 feet of you, unless you are Large or otherwise can wield Large weapons without penalty.

If you are Medium or Small, a lance requires two hands to wield if you aren't mounted.
