Kronan

Way to go, rock aliens!

Physical Description

The kronan are strange, rock-like beings from space in humanoid shape. While they may look like a golem, they have much more biological processes. Their bodies appear to be stone, but are in fact made of a silicon material that is extremely durable. Their unique muscle system amplifies their power through input of oxygen, and they are capable of consuming minerals for food. While they appear to be ungendered, all kronan are actually male. To reproduce, a kronan joins hands with either another kronan or some other rock being and they stand in running lava for three days, after which a baby kronan develops from the lava.

History

The kronan originated from the star system of Krona. There, they developed many advanced technologies including illusion machines and spacefaring vessels. Their technology allowed them to expand into other regions of space, where they invaded and conquered many planets. It is unclear what drove them to conquest. A theory proposes that their own planet came to be overrun with some threat that forced them to look outward. They now have established many bases across various star systems where they seek to plot their course for a new empire.

Society

Being an all male race, kronan are diversified into various roles in social interactions. Since their males are expected not only to fight but reproduce, they lack any gender-specified roles. To them, females are a strange thing in other races, like an addition. Many kronan are invested into battle, viewing strength as the best way to pave the way to a new home. Some peaceful factions exist and wish to find a planet where they might be able to coexist rather than dominate the locals. Some kronan of these factions often leave their main families to go and find their own home in the world through their own peaceful methods rather than live with their own.

Kronan Names

Kronan names are only masculine, since that is all they have as a race. But to a kronan, it is strange if their names were to be labelled as "gendered" since such a thing does not normally exist to them.

Kronan Names: Korg, Margus, Zardok, Gorr, O-korg, Ahna
