Avoidance. If the kamaitachi is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Flyby. The kamaitachi doesn't provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

Forest Camouflage. The kamaitachi has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in forests, woodlands, or other terrain of abundant foliage.

Surprise Attack. If the kamaitachi surprises a creature and hits it with an attack during the first round of combat, the target takes an extra 14 (4d6) damage from the attack.

ACTIONS

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Killing Wind (Recharge 5-6). The kamaitachi moves up to its flying speed in a straight line and can move through the space of other creatures. The first time it enters a creature's space during this move, it makes a claw attack against the creature. If the attack hits, the target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take an additional 19 (4d6 + 5) slashing damage. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, it is dismembered.

Kamaitachi are vicious spirits that dwell in mountainous arboreal forests. Territorial in the extreme, they lash out at intruders with little warning or provocation, striking so quickly that their victims seldom have time to realize the danger before they are dead.

Murderous Magical Mustelids. A kamaitachi resembles a weasel or a stoat. They could be mistaken for ordinary versions of these animals if not for the long, sickle-like claw which grows from the outermost toe of each paw. They can also fly despite a distinct lack of wings, darting through the air with such extreme speed that they kick up dust and debris in their wake.

Vorpal Talons. The claws of a kamaitachi are extremely sharp. Combine this with their great speed and their propensity to strike without warning, and a lone kamaitachi can bring down intruders many times its size with a single strike. People who live near a kamaitachi’s territory often tell cautionary tales of travelers who were ripped to shreds in the blink of an eye by something that moved too fast to be seen, tales which perfectly encapsulate the creature’s savagery.

Craven Bullies. Kamaitachi may be vicious, but they are also frail and cowardly. If a kamaitachi is faced with a foe that can fight back and actually hit it, the kamaitachi will flee rather than fight to the death. Such reprieves are temporary, however: the kamaitachi will eventually be back, and it will take out its impotent fury on the next travelers to enter its territory.

gollark: I meant just adding new chunks to the existing world.
gollark: I think a lot of the mods we could add would A: be ignored by yemmel anyway and B: require new worldgen.
gollark: Except Mekanism gases.
gollark: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/opensecurityNot amazingly useful, though.
gollark: There are some OC addons we could use.
