Inooa (3.5e Creature)

The creature looks roughly like a humanoid, with coloration of indigo that reflects light like a dull metal. With somewhat short limbs that look like it is composed of only muscle, its body looks undersized compared to its bloated head. The head constantly bloats and shrivels, with its small, gnawing mouth sometimes widening to the size of a human body, and its eyes changes size like a balloon that has air pumped in or out at a random rate.

More information...

The inooa is the predator of the Limbo. Both githzerais and slaadi fear this creature that can travel through unstable areas of Limbo. It makes good use of the gravity and falls towards its victim, breaking through any sort of barricades. Although it has no need to eat, it acts as if it enjoys consuming another creature, which makes others think that the inooa originated from the material realm and remolded to fit the chaotic planes. Usually they are found alone, but occasionally one can find them clustered together in a mob as a result of a mother spawning several children. Even when thrown into another realm that is potentially disastrous, the inooa is usually able to cope with it by changing forms.

Combat

The inooa likes to drop down on an unsuspecting victim, and then chew its way through one victim.

Improved Grab (Ex):: To use this ability, the inooa must hit an opponent with its bite attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. While the inooa has an opponent in its mouth, it cannot use its whisper ability.

Rend (Ex): An inooa that hits with a bite attack and at least one slam attack latches onto the opponent’s body and tears the flesh. This automatically deals an extra 2d6+9 points of damage.

Whisper (Su): An inooa can mutter in a language that unnerves anyone who hears it, as a free action. All creatures within a 30 feet spread must succeed on a DC19 Will save or lose 1d4 point of Wisdom score. This is a sonic mind-affecting effect. This wisdom damage does not affect another inooa.

Chaotic Morph (Su): An inooa has the ability to change its form in a way that it thinks is the most fitting for the situation. Using a full round action, the inooa can transform into Hulk form, Slim form, Wing form, Blob form, Loaf form, or Core form.

Revealing Vision (Su): An inooa's bloating eyes not only gives it good vision, but it can also see through what normal creatures cannot. A miss chance of 20% provided by concealment is ignored by the inooa.

gollark: For EVERYTHING?
gollark: Infix bad because parsing often requires precedence.
gollark: Oh no. Imagine suboptimally shaped bread.
gollark: Maybe a base64/hex-encoded string?
gollark: Do you not have a nicer bytechunk syntax?
