Half-Draconic (5e Subrace)

Humanoid Subrace

This Subrace allows the crossbreeding of races without the use of dedicated halfbreed races. A Half-Draconic person is the child of a Dragon father, born to a mother from some other race. Half-Draconic people are dramatically unique in appearance, compared to other members of their race. Frequently, it is impossible to discern their mother's race. They usually have the scales, head, tail, and claws of their father's race. They also tend toward their father's natural alignment, though are much freer to act outside of those bounds.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength and Constitution scores increase by 1.
Draconic Resistance. Your Draconic blood gives you resistance to a type of damage based on your father's dragon type.
Breath Weapon. Your Draconic blood also grants you a breath weapon. Any creature in the attack's area of effect must make a (DC = 8 + Constitution + proficiency bonus) save of the appropriate type to take half damage, or receive full damage. The breath weapon deals 1d6 of the same damage type as your resistance. The damage increases to 2d6 at 6th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 16th level.
