Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

A set of gloves that can fit things into impossibly small spaces.

Item Compression. An attuned creature wearing these gloves can use an action to compress a nonmagical object no larger than a 5 foot square. As an action, you touch the object with one or both gloves to turn the object into a sphere 1 inch in diameter with negligible weight. A compressed item cannot be used until decompressed.

Creature Compression. An attuned creature wearing these gloves can use an action to force a Large or smaller creature within 5 feet of them to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15) or be trapped inside an extra-dimensional space. Inside this space, time does not pass. From the outside, this space appears as a 1-inch sphere with negligible weight. A creature can repeat the saving throw every hour. On a success, they are released from the space and reappear in a random location 5 feet away from the sphere, which then disappears. Also, if the creature's saving throw is successful, the creature is immune to this property for the next 24 hours.

Decompression. An attuned creature wearing these gloves can use a bonus action to release an object or creature trapped with the gloves. The creature or object appears in a random space 5 feet away from the sphere it was trapped in. The sphere then disappears.
