Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

This mechanical insect is made of gold and glass and glows with a faint internal light. When you take damage from a creature, the insect activates and flies towards the source of the damage. It has 12 hit points, an AC of 18, resistance to melee damage, and a movement of 60 feet. It will attack creatures within 100 feet of you which attempt to attack you, starting with whichever creature caused it to activate. It acts at the end of your turn, dealing 3d6 piercing damage to a creature within 5 feet of it. The insect remains active for 3 minutes, after which you must complete a long rest for it to activate again. During a long rest, the insect magically repairs itself for 3d4 hit points.
