This item resembles a crystal orb with flames swirling inside.

Ignition of Knowledge. As you hold this orb, you feel great strength, like a fire in your very soul. While you carry this orb, you gain the following benefits:

You gain resistance to fire damage.

You know how to speak Infernal and Ignan.

Your attacks an additional deal 1d4 fire damage.

The Eternal Flame. This orb holds 5 charges and regains 1d4+1 charges each day at dawn. These charges can be expended to use the abilities listed below. However if this orb is reduced to 0 charges, it is instantly destroyed.

You expend 1 charge and cast the spell Burning Hands without any spell components

You expend 2 charges and cast the spell Fireball without any spell components.

You expend 3 charges and transform into a fire elemental for 1 minute.

You expend 5 charges and open a portal to the Plane of Fire that stays open for 1 hour.
