Enspell Field (3.5e Spell)

3e Summary::Developed as a counter against Dispel and Antimagic Fields, it floods an area or target with magical energy. An invisible barrier surrounds you and moves with you. The space within this barrier is boosts and protects magical effects, including spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural abilities. Likewise, it boosts the functioning of any magic items or spells within its confines.

An spell cast while in the area of enspell field has its effective caster level increased by 1d4 levels. A spell or ongoing magical effect, permanent or not, has its caster level increased as well. This lasts until they leave the enspell field effect (to which a spell may end, if it's original duration had already expired while inside the enspell field.)

When an attempt is made to dispel something within the field other than the enspell field itself, it is protected from the dispel attempt. The enspell field must be targeted by a dispel attempt and removed before it can affect anything else. An area effect dispel has no effect on an enspell field or the things inside of it. A Mage's Disjunction can remove the enspell field, but leaves the items inside of it protected as the enspell field takes the brunt of the spell.

When an enspell field and an antimagic field meet, both are suppressed until they leave each other's area. Should a creature be larger than the area enclosed by the barrier, any part of it that lies outside the barrier is unaffected by the field.
