Eloko (5e Creature)
Eloko
Small fey, neutral evil Armor Class 12
Skills Stealth +4 Innate Spellcasting. The eloko's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 11). The eloko can innately cast the following spells, requiring the use of a small bell that is rung: At will: prestidigitation ACTIONSBite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage. Swallow. The eloko makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is also swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the eloko, and it takes 4 (1d6) acid damage at the start of each of the eloko's turns. An eloko can have only one creature swallowed at a time. Fey Charm. The eloko targets one humanoid or beast that it can see within 30 feet of it. If the target can see the eloko, it must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be magically charmed. The charmed creature regards the eloko as a trusted friend to be heeded and protected. Although the target isn't under the eloko's control, it takes the eloko's requests or actions in the most favorable way it can. The eloko can have no more than one humanoid and up to three beasts charmed at a time.

An eloko is a dwarf-like creature that lives in forests. They are believed to be the spirits of ancestors of the people living there. Legend has it that they haunt the forest because they have some grudge to settle with the living and are generally quite vicious. They jealously and ferociously guard their treasures: the game and rare fruits of the forest. The eloko live in hollow trees and are dressed only in leaves. They have no hair; only grass grows on their bodies; they have piercing eyes, snouts with mouths that can be opened wide enough to admit a human body, alive or dead, and long, sharp claws. They possess little bells which are believed to be able to cast a spell on passers-by. |
