Class Features

All of the following are class features of the eidolon aspirant.

Spellcasting or Manifesting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting or manifesting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one spellcasting or manifesting class before becoming an eidolon aspirant, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, spells known, power points per day, manifester level, and powers known.

Disappear (Su): An eidolon aspirant can become immaterial, mimicking the ghosts that she admires. This ability can be used to turn the aspirant and all of her equipment either incorporeal or ethereal. This ability can be used a number of times per day equal to the eidolon aspirant's class level, and at fifth level it can be used at will for an unlimited period of time. It can be activated or dismissed as a swift action. When used to become incorporeal, this ability lasts 2 minutes per character level. When used to become ethereal, this ability lasts 1 minute per character level. This ability cannot be used to become incorporeal when the eidolon aspirant is already ethereal, or vice versa. While the eidolon aspirant is under the effects of her Disappear ability, she may fly at a speed of 30 ft. (perfect); at fifth level, she may fly at any time.

Ghostly Power (Su): At first, third, and fifth levels, an eidolon aspirant may gain any special attack from the ghost template (other than Manifestation and Malovolence). These abilities only function while under the effects of the Disappear ability. At fifth level, an eidolon aspirant may use her Ghostly Powers at any time.

Weightlessness (Su): Even when fully material, an eidolon aspirant can achieve a supernatural level of lightness on her feet. When this ability is active, the eidolon aspirant's weight is divided by her class level + 1. This ability does not decrease her actual mass, however; it only reduces gravity's effect on her. Additionally, this ability increases the DC to track the eidolon aspirant by 5 × her class level. This ability can be halted or resumed as a free action.

Spectral Skills (Ex): As an eidolon aspirant slips further and further from the living world, she becomes better able to observe it and to hide from it. A second level eidolon aspirant gains a racial bonus to spot, listen, hide, and move silently checks as indicated on Table: The Eidolon Aspirant.

Charisma Increase: As an eidolon aspirant becomes a more supernatural entity, her force of personality strengthens. At second level and again at fourth level, her Charisma permanently increases by 2.

Biplanar: A fifth level eidolon aspirant is considered native to the ethereal plane in addition to her native plane. She is not extraplanar when on either plane.

Transcend Mortality: A fifth level eidolon aspirant may choose to complete her transformation, becoming a dead soul among the living. By performing an hour-long ritual suicide, an eidolon aspirant may change her type to either Undead or Deathless. She sheds her body, and her soul becomes material. Her soul-body does not decay, and looks identical to her original body. An eidolon aspirant may be brought back to life by normal means, but both her soul-body and her original body need to be in range (even if that range is touch). When an undead/deathless eidolon aspirant is destroyed, her soul-body disappears and goes on to the afterlife.

When incorporeal and/or ethereal, an undead/deathless eidolon aspirant is considered to be a ghost for any effects that pertain to them. For the purposes of meeting prerequisites, an undead/deathless eidolon aspirant may be considered to be a ghost and to have the incorporeal subtype, but any abilities thus gained only function while incorporeal and/or ethereal.
