Description

The Dragonfly, with the Tradesman, is one of the workhorses of space. Its small size and good maneuverability make it ideal for transporting small groups, VIPs, and small packages. These features also make the Dragonfly the ideal ship for smuggling and fast exploration.

The Dragonfly is also highly recommended as a wizard's ship, being capable of being handled, albeit badly, by one person. A truly antisocial mage could load up his laboratory into a Dragonfly, move somewhere millions of miles from nowhere and experiment in utter solitude. It's theorized that a large number of the craft drift unattended after being used for this very purpose, their masters long since having moved on.

Ship Variants

Heavy: Occasionally, more armor is added to the Dragonfly, improving its AC to 13 but reducing its max ability mod to +2. This variant is usually only created by those unable to afford the superior Damselfly class of ship.

Firefly: A Firefly is a variant with its catapult replaced by a bombard or Greek fire projector, stuffed to the brim with explosives, then released into the path of enemy ships as a devastating weapon. The piloting mage is (sometimes) provided with a Wreckboat or dimensional escape device.

gollark: I can add that too? Neat.
gollark: The terms now say> By using potatOS, misusing potatOS, installing potatOS, reading code or documentation for potatOS, knowing about these terms, knowing anyone who is bound by these terms, reading these terms, or thinking of anything related to these terms, you agree to be bound by these terms.so that is not an excuse.
gollark: <@151391317740486657> Oh no. How terrible.
gollark: I would also like to remind everyone that regardless of any rumors you may have heard, PotatOS is *not* associated with SCP-3125.
gollark: Frankly, I think if I made it something like "add these two three-digit numbers" to uninstall, people would *still* complain and say "AAAA IT SAYS COMPLEX MAFS HOW DO I DO COMPLEX MAFS".
