ACTIONS

Multiattack. The deathvine makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it is also grappled (escape DC 14).

The bloodthirsty deathvine is as thick as a man's arm, and lies in ambush, lashing out with its long body when prey draws too close. They dwell in forests and overgrown ruins where prey is plentiful, and release pollen when they attack, drawing others of their kind in to feast upon a new kill.

Unwary Carriers. Those that survive a deathvine attack rarely escape without taking one of the vine's seeds with them. A seed grows quickly, so many forest explorers have unwittingly spread the vine far across the world, and the vine's hardy body and adaptable diet allow it to survive almost anywhere there is sunlight.
