Amid the shifting sands of the desert, a voice is heard, begging for something to drink. This voice might belong to a hapless traveller, but sometimes, the cause is far more sinister: a death drinker. Death drinkers are undead that can only be created from humanoids that died of thirst and have desiccated appearances. They constantly feel thirsty, but the only relief they can find from this thirst is blood, though they prefer the blood of sentient creatures, especially humanoids.
A death drinker subsists off of animals until it comes across an unwary traveller or explorer, at which point it assumes the guise of a helpless individual, luring generous souls to their doom as its touch drains the moisture from them.

Dastardly Thirst. As undead beings, death drinkers do not need to drink, but the constant torment of thirst is like daggers in the throat of a death drinker. However, no matter how much they drink, they always succumb to thirst. Death drinkers can be found almost anywhere, though they are particularly common in deserts. Some particularly vile spellcasters deliberately take prisoners and deprive them of water for the sole purpose of transforming them into death drinkers, whilst others scour the deserts looking for the bodies of those that died of thirst.

Undead Nature. A death drinker doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

gollark: ```pythonimport numpy # I'm sorrydef entry(x, y): a = numpy.asarray(x) # I'm sorry b = numpy.asarray(y) # so, so sorry result = a @ b # I'm a disappointment return result.tolist() # I failed everyone# I was supposed to be better than this.# I'm sorry.# I'll make it up to you next time, alright?# I'm sorry.```HIGHLY numpyous, see?
gollark: Yes, #5 just uses numpy.
gollark: It can multiply matrices, for instance.
gollark: It's a python package with many maths things.
gollark: DESPITE just using numpy?
