Hustle. Once per turn, before the darmanitan makes a melee attack, it can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, it add +10 to the attack's damage.

Inner Focus. The darmanitan has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Sheer Force (True Form only). At the start of its turn, the darmanitan can gain advantage on all attack rolls it makes during that turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the start of its next turn. When the darmanitan hits with an attack that has been granted advantage by this feature, the attack deal an additional 7 (2d6) fire damage.

Shapechanger. The darmanitan can use a bonus action on its turn to polymorph into its zen mode, or back into its true form. Its statistics are the same in each form, except for the following exceptions:

  • While in its zen mode, the darmanitan has a Wisdom of 18 (+4) and a Strength of 7 (-2)
  • While in its zen mode, the darmanitan's Fire Punch attack becomes a melee spell attack.

Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Innate Spellcasting (Zen Mode only). The darmanitan's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: fire bolt

3/day: burning hands

1/day: aganazzar's scorcher

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The darmanitan makes two fire punch attacks.

Fire Punch. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) fire damage
