Daddy/Daughter (5e Class)

This class explores a new concept of a dual character. Either playing two characters at once or playing with a friend who will play with you.

Daddy/Daughter

Ever want to play a character like a Big Daddy from Bioshock or like the Little Sister or Big Sister? Well this class duo will attempt at its base form.

A small pale elven female child sits playing when some abominations arrive for an easy meal. Frightened she calls out as they close in and ,before they can make a move against her, is retched back by a massive elven male before being shocked to death

A towering orc male is beaten to the ground by a hoard of bandits. As they begin to kick him while he's down one by one they begin to get pulled away in quick succession. He looks up at the slender orc female that helps him back up smiling the whole time

A warforged stands tall infront of a small changeling girl as she begins fixing him as he's in the middle of being pelted with arrows meant for her

Daddy

Prerequisites Male

As the Daddy part of the duo you are a towering figure. It's suggested to be the max height of your race to a foot and a half over that to a max of 9 feet

Daughter

Prerequisites Female

As the Daughter part of this duo you start as small figure. It's suggested to be the minimum height of your race to a foot and a half lower to a minimum of 2'6"

Creating a Daddy/Daughter

Big Daddy and Little Sister from Bioshock

Both-What caused you two to be bonded like this? Why isn't your mother/wife with you? Daddy-Are you even a father? Did you just want this relationship but couldn't get it normally? Daughter-Where you born into this? Adopted? Taken? Do you like this life?

Quick Build

You can make a Daddy/Daughter quickly by following these suggestions. First, Constitution should be your highest ability score for Daddy and Dexterity for Daughter, followed by Strength for Daddy and Charisma for Daughter. Second, choose the Outlander for Daddy and the Adopted or Charlatan background for Daughter.

As a Daughter you gain the following class features.

Class Features

As a Daddy you gain the following class features.

Hit Points at 1st Level: 12 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d12 (or 7) + Constitution modifier per class level after 1st

Harvest (NT LS)

You can use your harvester to extract the ADAM from a corpse. You can only hold as much as the harvester capacity shown in the table. You can use a charge from the capacity to heal yourself a 1d8 or you can inject into your daddy to heal him 1d4 and give him temporary hp equal to 8-the 1d4 total. These temporary hit points can not stack. Additionally this healing ignores no magical immunities or resistances to being healed exp-constructs and undead. You can also split the charge to heal yourself a 1d4 and your daddy 1d4. You can harvest as an action, heal yourself as a bonus action and heal daddy or split as an action. At level 7 you can use 2 charges at once, 3 at level 13, and 4 at level 17.

Daughter's Wail (NT LS)

As a bonus action if within 5 feet of an enemy you can let out a shriek calling for your daddy. Daddy can then use his reaction to make uninterrupted movement towards you and if reaching the enemy can make one melee attack. You can use this feature your charisma modifier amount of times per long rest.

Weep (NT LS)

If you can see the corpse of daddy at any time you are overcome with emotion and let out an ear piercing wail. Everyone in a 60 feet radius must make a WIS save versus a dc of 8+ charisma+ proficiency. Those who fail will not attack you and those who succeed can attack you but at disadvantage. This lasts for a minute and everyone must make the save every turn. You can not move during this time your eyes stuck on the corpse of your daddy. Every other turn you must make a concentration save against DC 12 or fall to your knees becoming prone effectively. You auto fail this save on the 8th turn this effect is active. Once on the ground you don't need to make this save. After the minute you can return to combat but all of your stats cap at 15 until you find a replacement daddy or if your daddy is revived.

Come to Papa (NT BD)

As a bonus action if daughter is within 5 feet of an enemy you can let out a roar to intimidate the enemy for daughter to escape. Daughter can then use her reaction to make uninterrupted movement towards you. You can use this feature your strength modifier amount of times per long rest.

Get Through Me (NT BD)

If within 5 ft of daughter you can make any attack against her target you instead. In aoe spells you can negate having daughter make the save and take full damage plus the damage of your save.

Father's Rage (NT BD)

If you can see the corpse of daughter at any time you are overcome with an emotional rage and let out a bloodcurdling roar. All enemies within 30 ft must make a WIS save vs a DC of 8+ strength+ proficiency or be frightened of you for the remainder of the ability. If you saw the killer of daughter when you let out the roar, regardless of distance, they must make the WIS save or be forced to move towards you and act as if under the compelled dual spell minus the attempt resave. Within the 30 feet they no longer are forced to move towards you. You however must move fully towards them and can not attack anything but them. If dashed towards them and you end next to them you can make one attack. This rage lasts for a minute. While under this rage you become resistant to non magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing and all stats act as if they were 20. When the minute passes your stats cap at 15 and if the fight is still continuing all your attacks are at disadvantage. Your stat caps reset when you find a new daughter or your old one is revived.

Nimble (NT LS)

At second level daughter can now dodge and disengage as a bonus action. They also receive a 5ft increase in speed.

Sturdy (NT BD)

At second level Daddy gains advantage on strength saving throws against being pushed, pulled, shoved, grappled, or knocked prone.

Daughter's Choice and Daddy's Decision

At 3rd level, you chose a Subclass. Choose between Daddies Little Girl, or All Grown up for daughter or between Unyielding Father, or ADAM Infused Protector all detailed at the end of the class description. Your choice grants you features at 3rd level and again at 6th, 11th, 14th, and 18th(BD) and 20th (LS).

Ability Score Increase

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Fighting Style (NT) BD

At 5th level Daddy can choose a style from the list below

• Defense While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.

• Dueling When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.

• Great Weapon Fighting When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.

• Unarmed Fighting Your unarmed strikes can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier. If you strike with two free hands, the d6 becomes a d8. When you successfully start a grapple, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to the grappled creature. Until the grapple ends, you can also deal this damage to the creature whenever you hit it with a melee attack.

• Tunnel Fighter (UA) As a bonus action, you can enter a defensive stance that lasts until the start of your next turn. While in your defensive stance, you can make opportunity attacks without using your reaction, and you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against a creature that moves more than 5 feet while within your reach.

Daddy gains another style at level 13.

Sneak Attack (NT) LS

Beginning at 6th level, daughter begins to exploit foes focusing on Daddy. Once per turn, Daughter can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature she hits with an attack if she has advantage on the attack roll.

Daughter doesn't need advantage on the attack roll if Daddy is within 5 feet of the target, Daddy isn't incapacitated, and Daughter doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Extra Attack (NT) BD

Beginning at 7th level, Daddy can attack twice, instead of once, whenever he takes the Attack action on his turn.

The number of attacks increases to three when he reaches 10th level in this class.

Unnatural Body (NT)

At 9th level your bodies change and you no longer need to eat or drink. In addition you can't be aged magically.

Elusive (NT) LS

Beginning at 10th level, you are so evasive that attackers rarely gain the upper hand against you. No attack roll has advantage against you while you aren't incapacitated.

Overfill (NT) LS

At level 15 Daughter can use her harvester to inject ADAM into the bodies of the unprepared. As an action Daughter can inject a creature with ADAM using her harvester. Harvester counts as a finesse simple melee to her. On hit you can expend up to 6 charges of the harvester to deal 1d12 necrotic or radiant damage for each charge. The target can make a CON save vs the DC of 8+ proficiency+ Charisma to take half damage.

Don't Touch Her! (NT) BD

When Daddy reaches level 15, when Daughter is within 30 feet of him and targeted for an attack he releases a roar of rage causing disadvantage on the attack and whenever he attacks that creature he gains an extra 1d12 of damage and when targeted by an attack by that creature he gains a +2 to AC vs that creature only. He can use this feature as much as his CON mod per long rest.

Daddy's Here (NT) BD

At level 17 if Daughter is within 100 feet of Daddy and he can see her he can teleport to her side. An enemy must be within 10 feet of daughter to use this effect. He can use this feature half of his CON mod rounded up (Min 1).

ADAM Powered (NT) LS

At level 18 Daughter becomes a pure being for ADAM. When knocked unconscious you can expend all your ADAM to awaken and heal 6d10. You can use this feature once per week. If you have less then 6 charges when you use this feature you heal Xd10 where X=the amount spent. If you use 24 you regain all HP.

Daughter's Guardian Angel (NT) BD

When Daddy reaches level 20 as a bonus action he can take the form of how his daughter sees him at that moment. If its good he gains resistance to necrotic damage and gains an extra 2d12 radiant damage to his attacks. If its bad he gains resistance to radiant damage and gains an extra 2d12 necrotic damage to his attacks. Regardless of how he's viewed he gains a +2 to AC and Temporary hit points equal to his level and half of Daughter's. He can use this once per long rest. This effect lasts 1 minute and daughter must be conscious.

Daddy's Little Girl (NT) LS

For those who never want to leave daddy's side and help him through.

Forever Stunted

At level 3 your height will never increase unless magically increased.

Quick Little Girl

At level 3 you gain a bonus 10ft to speed and can hide as a bonus action.

Little Sentry

At level 6 you can get onto Daddy's shoulder or back as a bonus action. Once on Daddy you gain proficiency in all ranged weapons and have access to the Sharpshooter feature.

Daydreaming

At level 11 you can close your eyes as an action and transfer yourself to a different plane avoiding damage oportunity attacks and so on. In this dream world you can stay there for two turns leaving when you open your eyes. You can use this feature your CHA mod amount per long rest.

Inhuman Regeneration

At 14th level whenever Daughter regains hit points that aren't from their own features they double the hit points gained.

Mr. Bubbles

At 20th level Daughter can cry out for her Daddy and when within 5ft she is picked up and while in her sentry position she gains an extra attack and can attach a tubed arrow directly to Daddy. When this arrow kills it pumps ADAM directly into him healing for 2d10 and any extra becomes temporary hit points that can stack. You gain access to this for 2 minutes or until you or Daddy become unconscious. You can use this once per long rest.

All Grown Up

For those who no longer need to rely on Daddy and can help him as an equal if not more. (big sister subclass)

Growth Spurt

Nearly over night Daughter grows to the average height of her race. You gain proficiency in medium armor and single handed martial melee weapons. (versatile weapons don't count). You also gain martial ranged weapon proficiency.

Built In Harvester

With the new growth Daughter instead makes her harvester an easy access weapon. Your Harvest capacity maxes at 6 and becomes a retractable weapon dealing 1d6 finesse. You can still harvest using these weapons. When you can use Overfill you can use it when you hit an attack with these weapons causing the extra 1d6 from the blade and allows an additional 1d12. You can only add overfill to an attack once per turn.

Surprise! You're dead

At 6th level when you flank an enemy (including with a prone ally but not unconscious) on top of the advantage (which Daughter gains with prone ally) you gain an extra 1d10 damage and can drag an enemy 5ft back up to one size bigger. Neither you or the enemy provoke opportunity attacks with this movement.

Quick Assassin

At level 11 you gain an extra 5ft movement and your sneak attack damage increases to a d10 and you can use any ally instead of just Daddy to use it without advantage.

All Grown Up

At level 14 all one handed melee weapons become finesse weapons and as long as neither stat is over 20 you can add your DEX and STG mod to your attack.

Daddy's Defender

At level 20 as a bonus action you can become a force that surpasses Daddy. For a minute you gain temporary HP=your max HP and a bonus 20 movement speed and a DEX and STG of 20. If Daddy is unconscious you have advantage on all attacks until he is conscious. If you heal yourself with ADAM double the amount healed. You can activate this once per long rest.

Unyeilding Father

For those who wish to protect their daughter above all else even their own safety.

Battle Hardened

Daddy gains resistance to non magical slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing.

Demanding Presence

At level 6 as long as Daughter is within 20ft of Daddy she can not be targeted by an attack unless she makes an attack. The target of the attack is the only one who can make an attack against her. If they do make an attack against her you gain an extra damage dice against them.

Share The Pain

At level 11 if Daughter is within 30ft of Daddy and she takes damage he can halve the damage to her and take that damage adding his resistances if necessary.

Make Them Pay

At level 14 whenever Daughter takes damage Daddy keeps note of who damaged her. Each time she takes damage he tallies that enemy who damaged. Each tally turns into an extra D6 when he damages that enemy.

Never Leave Her Alone

At level 18 Daddy can ignore a death blow once per long rest for fear of leaving Daughter alone. When he withstands this blow he heals for 5d12+CON, Temporary HP=healed, and gains immunity to piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning for a minute or until knocked out again.

ADAM Infused Protector

For those who want to add spells to your abilities to defend Daughter.

Spellcasting

The ADAM within grants you new powers. Pick spells from the ADAM Infused Protector list equal to the amount of spell slots you know + 1. You have 3 first level slots at level 3 and gain another at level 6. You gain 2 2nd level slots at level 6 gaining an extra at level 10. You gain 2 3rd level slots at level 11 and an extra at level 15. You gain 1 4th level slot at level 14 and an extra at level 17. You gain a 5th level slot at level 17 and an extra at level 18. Your spellcasting ability CON.

Built In ADAM

At 6th level Daddy can pick a first level spell to cast your CON mod amount of times without using a slot. At level 14 you can have two first level spells or one second level. Regain all uses on a long rest.

ADAM Protector

At 11th level if daughter is within 10 ft of Daddy he can reaction cast shield on her. If she is within 30ft he can reaction cast shield of faith that ends on his turn. He can use this ability CON mod amount of times regardless of the spell cast. Regain all uses on a long rest.

Overcharge

At level 14 if daughter is within 5ft and willing Daddy can access her harvest reserve to overcharge his spells. For every 2 ADAM+spell level ADAM used he boosts the spell by one level so a level 1 spell requires 17 ADAM to be level 9. This uses the ADAM instead of the spell slot.

ADAM Titan

At level 18 Daddy learns a level 5 spell he can cast half his CON mod rounded up times without a slot and has a CON mod level 3 cure wounds without a spell slot. Regain all uses on a long rest.

You know all of the spells on the basic spell list and additional spells based on your subclass.
