Physical Description
Corado are born of suppressed desires and therefore are usually exceptionally attractive and shapely. They have pale white skin, and eyes that range on a spectrum of orange to yellow. They generally have red hair but it can be any natural color and they also have slightly sharpened teeth.
A corado is not born in this form, however. They are born as grey humanoid shaped husks that almost resemble a person coated in plaster, called a meetling. These creatures in turn wander until they meet a mortal creature from the material plane. The meetling then absorbs the persons darkest desires or secrets and then takes the full form of a corado. This process does not harm either entity, but grants a corado their personality and sense of self based upon the negativity they absorbed.
History
The corado are from the realm of nightmares, a twisted, sick plane of lust and greed coated in the eternal cloth of night. The realm was an accumulation of negative desires and dark thoughts, which gave form to meetlings and birthed corado without needing them to venture to the material realm. Many years ago, the divide between the planes of material and nightmare began to weaken, allowing many corado and meetlings to cross over into the material plane. Many of the meetlings obeyed their twisted nature which they freshly absorbed, raiding and pillaging as soon as they took form. Some developed corado also partook in this and they gained some notoriety for this behavior.
Some corado however simply were curious seeing that these creatures in the material realm lived without the darkness that the corado had always known. These corado try their best to live peacefully despite their nature and internalized negativity. As people sought to wipe out the violent corado, these kindred ones remained, a gem among their race.
Society
Though a majority of the corado in the material plane today are the docile ones, the world doesn't take kindly to the fact their kind committed a bunch of atrocities prior. Corado are generally viewed as second-class citizens and aren't taken seriously as part of a populace, particularly those who choose to integrate into society. Many live alone as hermits, considering that the only thing less approving of the corado than material plane dwellers are other corado. This isn't helped by the strange life cycle of the corado.
A corado is, from a technical standpoint, immortal. They emerge fully grown and do not age. However a corado can only keep the form it gains from a mortal for 3 years without being in constant contact with that person. After this span of time they slowly wither away in a period of about 8 days and die. However, they reemerge where they died as a meetling, renewing the cycle of their life span. Corado thus do not generally form lasting relationships knowing that they will lose all of their memories upon reawakening after death.
Corado Names
The corado are meant to reflect the true nature of creatures through absorption of their negativity. Thus their names are reflections as well, usually being the name of the person whose desires they had chosen spelled backwards.

Corado Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength increases by 2 and your Constitution increases by 1
Age. You retain your form as long as you can be in contact with the person you gained your form from or for 3 years without them
Alignment. The vast majority of corado are evil, but neutral corado do emerge from time to time
Size. You're slender and tall usually standing between 6 and 7 ft. Your size is Medium
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Come Undone. As a bonus action, you can weaken your attachment to your absorbed desires to revert partially to your meetling form, making your skin harden like thick plaster. While in this form, you gain a +2 bonus to AC but your speed is halved until the end of your next turn. You can assume this form an amount of times equal to your Constitution modifier, regaining spent uses at the end of a long rest.
Guilt. As an action, you can invoke a guilty look in your eye which brings all of a creatures negative traits to the forefront of their mind, momentarily immobilizing them mentally. Target one creature within 30 ft. of you that can see you and that you can see with an action. Blind creatures cannot be affected. The creature must succeed a Wisdom save of DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus, or be stunned until the end of your next turn. You must complete a long rest before using this trait again.
