Cavalry Training. When the chitik hits a target with a melee attack while mounted on a creature, the mount can make a melee attack against the same target as a reaction.

Innate Spellcasting. The chitik's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The chitik can cast the following spells innately, requiring no material components:

At will: ray of frost
3/day each: animal friendship, create food and water
1/day: animal messenger

Speak with Beasts. The chitik can communicate with beasts as if they shared a language.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The chitik makes two attacks.

Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage, or 5 (1d8 + 1) if used in two hands to make a melee attack.

Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.

Some chitik develop powerful bonds with their mounts and can cast spells. They are called cavaliers by other races, for their propensity in battle on mounts, usually wolves or giant bats.

gollark: Relative only.
gollark: How would you use that? Surely it can't locate your canvases.
gollark: The user can move relative to the object and you have to track that somehow.
gollark: I *think* once you create a 3D object around a center point its origin is fixed until you recenter it, but obviously you can move.
gollark: I think you don't actually have enough data to. Unless you constantly use GPS.
