Buizel (5e Race)

Buizel

Physical Description

By Joanna

Buizel are mainly orange weasel otters. The lower half of their heads, spot-marks above the eyes, underbelly and flotation sac around their neck are all cream-colored. These pokemon have two slender tails also tipped with cream fur that they use as propellers to swim through rivers and streams. They have two blue fins near the ends of their hands. On their cheeks, they also have black markings that resemble crude whiskers.

Some specimens have a lighter cream color on the cream parts and gold yellow where the orange would be. The flotation sacs are silver.

History

These pokemon were discovered in the lakes of the Sinnoh region. They are known to loiter in some of the waters that abut the marshes near Pastoria. When in the safari, one may encounter them alongside wooper and other river pokemon. They form packs amongst themselves and floatzel, which is their evolved form. When the great rift of time and space was torn asunder by evil power-hungry humans, many buizel and floatzel lost their homes and became hostile to humans. As the land began to heal, they came to rekindle their friendships.

Society

Buizel are pack hunters by nature and are known to suffer separation anxiety if separated from the pack. Despite looking very cutesy, they are fierce and fast in the waters, hunting fish pokemon like remoraid. Within their packs may be many floatzel. The largest and strongest floatzel is usually the leader who commands the other floatzel. In turn, the other floatzel command and train buizel. Buizel are known to go through tough regimens to train and try to evolve into floatzel. They are sometimes thrown down a waterfall and have to propel themselves back up with their tails. This training gets especially hard when it is magikarp breeding season, as the fish fill up the streams and flop up the falls as well.

gollark: That's actually one of the best ways to put it if you want people to spend several seconds wondering "what?".
gollark: Also also, "convention over configuration" being stupid. Yes, the choice of four spaces vs two isn't too significant, but being able to choose means you'll have code you can possibly read a bit more easily, and also public/privateness via *capitalization* just (in my opinion) looks ugly and is annoying if you want to change privacy.
gollark: i.e. generic slices/maps/channels but not actual generics, == being ***maaaaagic*** (admittedly like in most languages, I think), and `make`/`new`.
gollark: Also, as well as that, how it just special-cases stuff instead of implementing reusable solutions.
gollark: e.g. no map function existing or even being possible means that you have *readable* code with a for loop, but it's harder to understand *why that's there* and *what it's for*.
