Aversion of Decay. If the golem takes necrotic damage, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.

Immutable Form. The golem is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Limited Magic Immunity. The golem can't be affected or detected by spells of 4th level or lower unless it wishes to be. It has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The golem's weapons attacks are magical.

Innate Spellcasting. The golem's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

At will: detect thoughts, telepathic bond
3/day: charm person, major image
1/day: confusion, dominate person, modify memory

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The golem makes two attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (3d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

The brain golem is an aberration amongst golems: the brain matter of multiple creatures haphazardly arranged into a humanoid shape, and coated in a translucent amber-like carapace, with a single amethyst placed in the center of its otherwise featureless face. Unlike other golems, the brain golem is smart enough to strategize, and is also capable of using various innate spellcasting abilities to disorient and confuse foes.

Constructed Nature. A brain golem doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

gollark: I would be worried if someone with ebola was just wandering around randomly.
gollark: I mean, none of those are pandemics right now, so the political will to do anything about it doesn't exist.
gollark: And after just 20ish months and hundreds of millions of doses administered!
gollark: It seems like it's already quite bad, and this would presumably be good for the booster shots some places are talking about.
gollark: With the mRNA/viral vector vaccines, it would be pretty easy to swap out the spike protein for delta-variant ones and probably get better immunity to it, right? Is anyone doing this? It seems like a very obvious idea.
