In the right hands, this weapon can be swift and deadlier than most swords can be. Special. If you attack with this weapon without throwing it, it deals 1 slashing damage. When the bladed yo-yo is thrown, it deals 2d4 slashing damage. You do not have disadvantage when attacking by throwing the yo-yo at a creature within 5 feet of you. After the yo-yo is thrown, you must make a Sleight of Hand skill check (DC 15) to make the string return the Yo-Yo to you. On a failed skill check, you take 1d4 slashing damage and must use an action to wind up the string before throwing the Yo-Yo again. If you are proficient with bladed yo-yos specifically (proficiency in all martial weapons doesn't count), you automatically succeed this skill check.
