Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Belias the Gigas fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. Belias has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Fire Body. A creature that touches Belias the Gigas or hits him within a melee attack while within 10 feet of him takes 6 (2d10) fire damage.

Flaming Weapons. Belias’s natural weapons are magical. On a hit, they inflict an extra 4d8 fire damage as shown in the entries below.

Two Heads. Belias the Gigas has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and on saving throws against being stunned or knocked unconscious.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Belias makes two staff attacks.

Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage and 18 (4d8) fire damage.

Blazing Smite. Melee Spell Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 feet, one target. Hit: 27 (5d10) fire damage and 27 (5d10) radiant damage, and the target is set on fire. It takes 16 (3d10) fire damage at the start of each of its turns, unless it or a friendly creature takes an action to put the flames out.

Painflare (Recharge 5-6). Belias hurls a ball of soul-searing hellfire to a point he can see within 120 feet, where it explodes in a 20-foot radius. Each creature in that area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (5d8) fire damage and 22 (5d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

On a failed save, each creature’s maximum hit points are also reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken. This reduction lasts until the creature finishes a long rest. The creature dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

Infernal Breath (Recharge 5-6). Belias exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. All creatures within that area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

Hellfire (1/Day). Belias calls down a column of divine fire at a point within 120 feet of him that he can see, where it explodes in a cylinder that is 60 feet wide and 120 feet tall. All creatures within that area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 77 (14d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The ground within that area is left scorched and blackened, and becomes extremely hot for 1 day. This area becomes difficult terrain for the duration. When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 1d10 fire damage for every five feet it travels.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

The Belias the Gigas can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Belias the Gigas regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Brand. Belias makes a staff attack.

Immolate (Costs 2 Actions). Belias uses Blazing Smite.

Heatwave (Costs 3 Actions). Belias superheats the air within a 30-foot radius of himself to unbearable levels. Creatures within that area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or gain one level of exhaustion.

Source

Belias the Gigas is a powerful fiend and one of the twelve Lucavi, beings who were created to serve the gods but rose up against them in revolt instead. The gods cast the Lucavi down for their transgressions, twisting their once noble forms into hideous mockeries and binding them to magical glyphs that would limit their once-great power.

Flawed Servant. It is said that the gods once dwelt on the material plane in physical form, and that they once inhabited a glorious citadel where their worshippers could come to pay them tribute. Belias, the legends claim, was created to be the gatekeeper of this sacred city. But some unforeseen flaw in the creation process left Belias malformed and twisted, and the gods rejected him in disgust and branded him an abomination. Incensed at this mistreatment, Belias rose up against the gods alongside their other rebellious servants, only to be cast down.

Bestial Sentinel. Belias is a hulking and hirsute creature with thick patches of red fur covering his muscular blue body. His legs are those of a ram, and he has four arms: two small but muscular, like those of a human, and two thick and bestial like those of a great ape. He has two heads, one set above the other, both covered by brass masks with curling ram’s horns. He carries a great and ornate staff in one of his larger arms.

Unwilling Servant. Though undeniably powerful, Belias is not free to do as he pleases. When the Lucavi rose up against the gods and were defeated, the gods bound Belias to the Aries glyph, a powerful sigil that restricts his movements. He can only manifest on the material plane during the month governed by the Aries sign, and only in areas of frequent storms or great magnetic activity. If mortal warriors should encounter and defeat Belias during this time, they will obtain ownership of the Aries glyph and Belias will have no choice but to serve them for the remainder of the month.

Undying Loyalty. Of all the Lucavi, Belias is said to resent his forced servitude to mortals the least. According to certain myths from the region of Ivalice, a warrior-king was able to not only gain Belias’s servitude by besting him in combat, but also gain the Gigas’s respect by treating him with kindness. In gratitude, Belias is said to have sworn fealty to this king, vowing to stand watch over his treasure vaults until the end of time.

Whether such stories are true or not, it is a fact that those who try to plunder the tomb-vaults of this long-dead monarch seldom return.

gollark: According to Wikipedia he's been with Tesla from a year after they started and ran it since 2008, so I feel like he deserves much of the credit for that.
gollark: It's ridiculous to complain that he doesn't know much about rocketry and stuff himself and (THE HORROR) hired competent people who do, and managed to improve the state of space travel a lot.
gollark: I'm not sure what you mean by "apartheid profiting", but generally that seems pretty stupid.
gollark: Unless they have a warrant, you can apparently just tell them to go away and they can't do anything except try and get one based on seeing TV through your windows or something.
gollark: But the enforcement of it is even weirder than that:- there are "TV detector vans". The BBC refuses to explain how they actually work in much detail. With modern TVs I don't think this is actually possible, and they probably can't detect iPlayer use, unless you're stupid enough to sign up with your postcode (they started requiring accounts some years ago).- enforcement is apparently done by some organization with almost no actual legal power (they can visit you and complain, but not *do* anything without a search warrant, which is hard to get)- so they make up for it by sending threatening and misleading letters to try and get people to pay money
