Barrier of the Dying Will (3.5e Spell)

This Barrier allows someone to survive a fatal wound and keep on fighting.

Barrier of the Dying Will

Abjuration
Level:	Barrier Mage 5
Casting time:	1 Standard Action
Range:	15ft +5ft/caster level
Target, or Area:	15ft by 15ft by 15ft cube
Duration:	1d6 + 1 round/3 caster levels
Saving Throw:	none
Spell Resistance:	no

Apon creation, anything inside this barrier will survive an attack that would reduce their HP to 0 or less with 1 HP instead. If their HP is already 1 they can make a Fort or Will save equal to the damage dealt to reduce that damage to 0. This effect like all others works both ways and an enemy can benifit from this barrier as much as an ally. Barrier of the Dying Will can be cast as an immediate Action using the Immediate Defence special ability. Any effect that would cause instant death still works normally inside the barrier.
