3e Summary::The template that results from using Awaken on animals.

Awakened animals are the result of a Druid using the Awaken spell on animals.

Creating an Awakened Creature

Awakened Creature is an acquired template that can be applied to any animal.

Size and Type

Type changes to Magical Beast.

Hit Dice

Increase by +2.

Speed

Same as the base creature.

Armor Class

Same as the base creature.

Attack

Same as the base creature.

Full Attack

Same as the base creature.

Special Attacks

The creature gains no special attacks.

Special Qualities

The creature doesn't gain any special qualities.

Abilities

Intelligence: Change to 3d6. Charisma: Increase by 1d3.

Skills

The creature gains the Speak Language skill for one language that the creature casting Awaken on it knows, plus one additional language per point of Intelligence the awakened creature has.

Feats

This template does not grant any feats.

Environment

Same as the base creature.

Organization

Awakened creatures are usually found in association with the Druid or other caster who awakened them.

Challenge Rating

+1.

Treasure

Same as the base creature.

Alignment

Any. An awakened creature's alignment usually matches that of the Druid or other caster who awakened it.

Advancement

Same as the base creature.

Level Adjustment

Variable based on the base animal's power. This will have to be assigned by the DM.
