Aspect of Light

The Aspect of Light is a being that belongs to a group dedicated to protecting the Lux Aeterna, a powerful celestial energy that flows through the material realm. By tapping into the Lux Aeterna, the Aspects are granted their abilities.


Quick Build

You can make an Aspect of Light quickly by following these suggestions. First, Charisma should be your highest ability score, followed by Constitution or Dexterity. Second, choose the Acolyte background. Third, choose the Sacred Flame, Light, and Lightning Lure cantrips, along with the following 1st-level spells for your spellbook: Grease, Cure Wounds, Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Shield, Alarm, and Sleep.

Class Features

As a you gain the following class features.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 1d10 per level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 1d10 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d10 (or 6) + Constitution modifier per level after 1st

Proficiencies

Armor: light, medium
Weapons: simple and martial weapons
Tools: two tool proficiencies of your choice
Saving Throws: Constitution, Charisma
Skills: Choose three from Arcana, History, Religion, Insight, Nature, Investigation, Perception

Equipment

You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:

  • (a) a halberd and a shield or (b) any two weapons
  • a shortbow and 20 arrows
  • (a) scale mail or (b) studded leather armor
  • one set of tools (your choice) and a scholar's pack

Ability Score Increase

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
