Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

A more complicated version of a standard prosthetic eye. This item appears as a small metal sphere with a ruby set into one end, and a tangle of wires and bits of metal coming out of the other. You may insert the eye into the eye socket of a willing creature with a missing or removed eye (including yourself) by passing a DC 15 Medicine check. On a roll below 5, the creature takes 3d6 piercing damage.

While this item is inside your eye socket, you may use a bonus action to emit a thin, burning beam from the eye at up to three targets you can see, dealing 2d8 fire damage to each and igniting flammable objects. This item does not replicate the vision of a normal eye, and requires a second medicine check to remove, with the same result of failure as the one needed to insert it.
