Wondrous item, common

This small chunk of glass or gemstone is the result of a hedge wizard or novice spellcaster attempting to weaponize a magical prosthetic eye. Although it has lost its primary function and can no longer be safely used to replace a missing eye, it is still easy to use and can make a serviceable secondary weapon.

You may use an action to attach or remove the eye from your forehead. Once per minute while worn, you may use a bonus action to cause it to emit an unfocused burning beam towards a target within 60 feet that you can see. This attack deals 1d8-4 fire damage, dealing no damage if the result is 0 or below. On a natural 1, you instead take 1d6 fire damage as the eye misfires.
