Armorals (3.5e Race)

Armorals

Banished long ago to another plane, they have once again returned to the Material Plane, though their numbers are few.

Personality

Most armorals are honest and noble in bearing. Men are gentlemen and women are ladylike, at least those who find life among cities. Often quick to laugh and jest, they enjoy company and companions, finding little comfort in solitude (or monogamy). With little cultural tradition to tie them to the Material Plane, they are often aloof about many other reasons, which may cause them to act inappropriately upon first meeting someone new.

Physical Description

While their slighter build and more sylvan features would suggest that they are some sort of half elf, in truth, they are not. They stand on average roughly and a half feet in height and weigh around 150 pounds. Their skin varies from ruddy to tan and their hair ranges from black to shades of saturated browns, oranges and dark blondes.

Relations

Much like humans, armorals vary from person to person. Some greatly enjoy drinking with dwarves, or bargaining with halflings, or discussing philosophy with elves, though in truth, they rarely excel at any of these things.

Alignment

Armorals have no racial inclination toward any preferred alignment.

Lands

Being recent arrivals back on the Material Plane, they have yet to establish lands of their own, and typically just mooch off of whatever culture is nearest. Typically, that means humans, whom they share much commonality with.

Language

Oddly, for a humanoid race, they prefer to speak Sylvan as their first language, and while they have a dialect of their own, it is much smoother than is typical for a non-fey race. They speak Common as a second language.

Names

Most often, an armoral will have a bastardized version of a sylvan name, due to their long isolation and cultural differences from fey creatures.

gollark: As you can see, I am not actually very good at OCaml and somewhat adapting a tutorial for Caqti and stuff.
gollark: ```ocamltype ('res, 'err) query = Caqti_lwt.connection -> ('res, [< Caqti_error.t > `Connect_failed `Connect_rejected `Post_connect ] as 'err) result Lwt.t```
gollark: Hmm, can this be fixed or must I merely experience horrible suffering?
gollark: <@!309787486278909952> You vaguely mentioned OCaml things before, thus help.
gollark: APART from that underscore, those types seem identical, so I am confused.
