Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

Long ago, Mystra, Goddess of Magic, blessed a chosen wizard with great power. His spellcasting grew beyond that of his peers, and he was able to cast with seeming ease. He did Mystra's will, and was permitted to keep the power. However, he was assassinated, and his blood ran silver. The assassin, herself a budding spellcaster, gained the power. Thus has the power been passed forever. The former owner is killed, his blood turning silver. The blood has an indefinite shelf-life. A spellcaster that drinks it takes 10d10 psychic damage that cannot be reduced or averted in any way, and, if they survive, gain the power of argent blood. Any remaining blood from the previous owner then becomes mundane.

The one who survives this power can cast any spell known up to level 4 at its lowest level without using a spell slot. The attuned spellcaster's spell attack bonus and spell save DC both increase by 2. The attuned spellcaster also gains truesight out to a range of 60 feet for 1 hour by expending two 2nd level spell slot, or four 1st level spell slots. The attuned spellcaster's eyes also gain an obviously multicolored hue, though the original color is still distinct.

Once a spellcaster is attuned to Argent Blood, they cannot lose attunement until death. Resurrection in any form does not return attunement if someone has obtained the power from their body. While the power is not passed on, Argent Blood prevents the body of the attuned spellcaster from rotting or becoming undead. Argent Blood is passed on to any offspring conceived while a parent has the power, and so more than one Argent Blood can exist.
