Angelic Weapons. The applaud's weapon attacks are magical. When the applaud hits with any weapon, the weapon deals an extra 2d8 radiant damage (included in the attack).

Dive Attack. If the applaud is flying and dives at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 7 (2d6) damage to the target.

ACTIONS

Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage.

Divine Halberd. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 + 3) slashing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.

REACTIONS

Parry. The applaud adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the applaud must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

Applaud (Source)

While still a member of the third sphere, applauds are one step above affinities, and thus known as archangels. Occupying the eighth position within the nine-level angelic hierarchy, archangels are still considered close to the physical world, and often come into contact with human kind. It is said that devoted prayer on the part of believers can call upon a flock of angels to come to one's aid.

Variant: Applaud Twinblades

Some applauds have a pair of divine twinblades instead of a divine halberd. The applaud can combine its twinblades into a single divine longbow as a bonus action, and vice versa.
Multiattack. The applaud makes two divine twinblade attacks.
Divine Twinblade. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.
Divine Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.

gollark: You'll be able to set these privacy levels:0. no data processing at all, meaning that everything will be disabled1. enough data processing/gathering to provide normal CraftOS service (potatOS obviously needs to process filesystem paths)2. the full potatOS experience3. extended monitoring
gollark: I'm working on fixing that.
gollark: You don't!
gollark: I own *at least* three souls now.
