Rod, very rare (requires attunement) This beautiful rod consists of an agate encased with amethyst. This rod can be used as the material component for the awaken spell by the attuned user in place of the existing material component. The rod is not consumed by being used for the spell. A weaker, rare rarity version of the item may exist, which cracks and shudders each time it's used. After being used this way, roll a d20. If the number rolled is lower than the number of times it's been used, the item shatters into worthless dust which quickly turns to stone.
