Ahuizotl are riverbank predators that lurk under the water and pull their prey beneath. With an appearance similar to a small dog, the ahuizotl has streaks across its head, small ears, waterproof fur, and a large hand on the end of its long tail. They prey on good-hearted souls by mimicking the sound of a woman or child in danger, and when they come within reach of the tail, grab them by the throat, drag them underwater and choke the life from them so they may feed. |
