Echolocation. The ahool can't use its blindsight while deafened.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The ahool makes two attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.

Swoop. The ahool can only use this attack if it begins its turn in flight. The ahool flies low over a target, slashing it with its hind claws before flying away. The ahool uses up to its full movement towards a target, makes one claw attack with advantage on the attack roll or one grappled check with advantage on the roll, then uses the Dash action as a bonus action to fly away. Any opportunity attacks made against the ahool when it uses this action are made with disadvantage.

An aggressive ahool by Dinomaster337

An ahool is a startling creature, resembling a chimpanzee with a pair of bat-like wings. These strange primates, with a 10-foot wingspan, are named for their distinctive call, which echoes through the nights of the jungle. Encounters with these nocturnal creatures are rare and rarely end without injury of either party.

Nocturnal Howler. Male ahool are solitary, leaving the social females to raise the offspring in troops. It is rare to see the offspring with a hunting party, and this only happens with a very small troop. When both sexes do come meet up, males viciously rip each other to pieces in airborne battles, high above the forest floor.
Ahools are creatures that feed on a large range of food sources but will consume large amounts of flesh as they are very successful predators, preying on a range of large animals ranging from small cats to full grown humans. They hunt most often at night, hanging upside down from the canopy patiently, and stalk their prey like that for several minutes. They then swoop down and deliver a powerful bite to crush the victim's spine.

gollark: I can't. It's a Sunday.
gollark: Fun fact: it is currently raining heavily in my present location. However, the British Broadcasting Corporation's weather information page for my location on their website suggests that it is *not* raining heavily, and is only raining lightly.
gollark: UK schools
gollark: This is why we should all be using SUBLEQ processors.
gollark: Yes, yes it is.
